Extra filter option for selection lists

When a selection list contains many options it could be very helpful if it's possible to filter like a text or numerical field.
Instead of having to select 10-30 options manually, it would be great if all options containing a word or number could be filtered automatically like a text or numerical field.

It would also be very helpful if it was possible to exclude an option in a filter.
