Ability to set sort or display order of top-level menu items

It would be nice if we could set the sort/display order of top-level menu items. Both the order in which the groups show from left to right as well as what order the analysis sets/forms show up within the groups. I know this can be done by adding a number at the front of the group/set name, but this seems to be a bit convoluted and messy as it displays this number to the end users. It would be better if this was a behind-the-scenes configuration.

Good suggestions. We are planning on some changes in the menu to improve the responsiveness. I am not sure whether this fits within that project, but I definitely see the relevance.
