In the AlisQI document management system, documents can be edited with or without formal approval. The formal approval route is intended for structural changes to the document. The route without formal approval is intended to fix minor or cosmetic changes.
Asking formal approval for every minor typo fix, would put a burden on the organization. However, as it currently works, users might run into compliance issues.
A best of both world solution could be to create an overview with all recent changes to the documents, with an indication whether this was with our without formal approval. This would allow users to quickly fix document, while the organization can assess their discipline to use the formal route when needed.
